Carputty modernizes auto financing and ownership by providing buyers with an evergreen financing line to buy and sell cars without completing new loan documentation. The company recently raised a $12.3 million series A led by Fontinalis Partners and TVV Capital. This funding will help accelerate the development of Carputty’s data-driven platform and expedite the nationwide availability of this new auto financing. 116 Street deployed capital in Carputty’s $7.2 million seed round led by Kickstart Fund in August 2021.

Ludwig has been on all sides of venture — as an entrepreneur, corporate buyer of ventures, and venture capitalist. Before Alumni Ventures, he experienced the daily realities of entrepreneurship as Founder and CEO of a mobile payments venture. Earlier, at a Fortune 100 telecom (Nokia), he was a general manager and acquired venture-backed businesses. His first experience in venture capital was with an $800 million global fund pre and post the dot.com crash. Ludwig began his career with the Boston Consulting Group. He has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia. He lives in NYC with his wife and 2 teenagers.
