Waterman Ventures seeks to build wealth in the Brown community through access to venture capital. While not all of our companies will have a link to Brown, our community is an extraordinary source of entrepreneurship (thank you Hazeltine and Warshay!). PitchBook’s annual university rankings compare schools by tallying up the number of alumni entrepreneurs who have founded venture capital-backed companies. Based on an analysis of more than 144,000 VC-backed founders, Brown ranked #1 for the amount of capital raised per founder and #5 for total amount raised versus community size. Read More »

Waterman Portfolio Company News
NeuReality is a designer of semiconductor chips specifically for the needs of AI computations. The company recently raised a $35 million Series A led by Samsung Ventures. The funding will be put toward finalizing the design of NeuReality’s flagship AI inferencing chip in early 2023 and shipping it to customers. Waterman Ventures invested in NeuReality’s $8 million seed round alongside Cardumen Capital, crowdfunding platform OurCrowd, and Varana Capital, in February 2021.
